Delivering Solar Energy Solutions
BHE Renewables owns and operates 1,536 megawatts of solar-powered generation in California, Arizona, Texas, Minnesota and soon in West Virginia where we are building one of the world’s largest solar and battery storage solar microgrids to power TIMET’s new titanium melt facility with renewable energy.
Our California solar projects are two of America’s largest – setting the standard for safety, conservation and economic impact.
Solar energy is the most abundant energy resource on Earth and is the fastest growing form of new electric generation. Solar energy is a reliable, renewable resource that can be harvested directly for heat and light and indirectly by converting sunlight into electricity.

Meeting Growing Energy Needs
The U.S. is experiencing a surge in electricity demand not seen since the early 2000s. With advancements in AI, data center expansion and new domestic manufacturing, the Department of Energy projects demand to rise by 15-20% over the next decade.
Solar energy and battery storage solutions are changing the game of sustainable energy optimization. BHE Renewables is at the forefront of deploying this technology to help businesses power their future sustainably and reliably without overburdening the grid.
What is a Solar Microgrid?
A solar microgrid is an innovative and increasingly popular energy technology that's giving businesses and communities access to cleaner and more reliable power. A solar microgrid can be used to power one or multiple facilities by generating electricity using solar power. The solar microgrid in Ravenswood, West Virginia will consist of solar arrays placed on land that BHE Renewables purchased from the West Virginia Economic Development Authority. The panels will generate solar energy that utlilize battery energy storage systems to power TIMET’s state-of-the-art facility to produce titanium products.
